…..as I had mentioned a few months ago back in July , husband man and I have been in the midst of a transition phase for the last few months.. and, of course, at the time this meant moving to San Francisco. It meant picking a spot we would settle for the next season of our lives. It meant saying goodbye to dear friends in LA and leaving our tiny little house for a snug apartment in the East Bay. It meant picking a spot on the map that we would want to live for the next five plus years and a place where we would want to start a family…
..but in the secret of our hearts we were also preparing for more changes…
and in the dark of night we whispered our secret and I dreamed of the day I would share it with all those I love..
…and now a few months later, we find ourselves at another crossroads.
…yes world, if your reading this it’s officially official…
this afternoon husband man and I called all of our dear little family members and loved ones and told them our big news. {hooray! Secrets aren’t much fun when you can’t celebrate them together!}
We’re ready to be parents.
Start a little family.
Have a tiny one to tuck into bed and read bedtime stories to…
We’re ready to kiss boo boo’s better …and lose sleep at night.
But no, I’m not pregnant. Nor am I planning on being so anytime soon…
..we’re adopting our first little one…
and we couldn’t be more excited.
Husband and I welcome all your prayers and support over the next months of preparation.

{{me and anthony this summer at the orphanage we worked at in Kampala, Uganda. While there, me and Ry held the babies, bathed the babies, played with the babies…and promptly fell in love with all of them.. }
….Sidenote:
if your interested in following our journey to becoming parents, you can go over to my baby blog and follow our story there. The baby blog is where I will write ramblings, adoption updates and letters to our lovely baby as we wait…
xoxo
