{{ Note: Jackie told me about her wedding months ago when we first met. When I ask what her colors were, like I do with all my future brides, she told me there wasn’t really colors.. there was a theme. {I admit, I gulped in my mind.} And then she told me the theme was Leopard. And I thought, bring it. I love when my couples do something, anything, out of the box. Be it a taco truck, feathers for a runner, or a very Jackie leopard theme. ;) }}
Anyhow, enough rambling….
The day of their wedding Jackie was calm as a bride can be. More then just calm though, Jackie was certain. Certain that whatever happened, in the end, all that mattered was that they would be married. Certain that her day would go beautifully, and most of all, certain she was marrying the love of her life. She was beaming, her eyes sparkled, and her laugh was contagious…
They are the kind of couple you meet and you know. Robert has a love for Jackie so tender, that when he said his everlasting vows to her, he couldn’t keep from openly crying. Joyful tears. Tears of happiness over the love he had found in her…
{And, I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the whole room…myself included}
Jackie and Robert,
I am so overjoyed you two found each other and oh so happy that you let me capture your love. :)

{{Also, I would like to give a special shout out to my fabulous friend Richelle for shooting alongside me on this wedding. She did a fabulous job and I couldn’t of asked for someone better. Thank you for being a lifesaver. And for being down for pancakes at midnight. ;) }}

Robert told Richelle he had an AbiQ eye now, and found us our spot to shoot him and Jackie! He is soooo right. He has totally developed an AbiQ eye! ;)

And, as always, to view more pretty pictures and leopard details check out their wedding slideshow!
{{and just for the record, the spray cans were empty. ;) }}
We wandered around the edge of the city, the wind whipping around us. It was cold. So very cold and foggy and windy…. but dreamy. So so dreamy.
They laughed at me. They flirted with each other. They cuddled, wrapping their arms around each other. They held hands. They kissed.
…and they fell a bit more in love. ♥

Happy Monday!
{{Zillions of pretty pictures coming your way this week!}}

I’m an etsy addict.
There I said it.
And, it’s so very true.
When I’m bored.
When I can’t sleep
But most often, {like this very afternoon,} when I need a break from editing, I get on and linger for a few minutes. Day dream about owning the prettiness, and then, go back to work. It’s like window shopping. Without ever leaving my little office.
But sometimes, sometimes, I find something so sweet I can’t not share it with you..
and so, behold, my new favorite store on etsy, oh hello friend.

To view more of the loveliness, check out danni’s shop!
and, her blog has all kinds of delicious eye candy on it as well.
..aren’t they just lovely? The jewelry would be a perfect accessory for a vintage bride. Or her attendants. Or both.
You can never have too much prettiness at a wedding. Just sayin’.
Happy Wednesday!

Sometimes life throws us a little surprise when we least expect it. And more often then not, that surprise is a wonderful, beautiful thing. It’s all in your interpretation of the twists and turns and how you treat each unexpected bump in the road that makes the difference…
One afternoon in September Catie’s friend, {also named Katie} got a call from an event coordinator last minute asking the two girls to go to the airport and pick up some of the band members from KJ52. After grabbing some coffee for the drive, they headed to SFO. In the airport, Jamie and his buddy were a bit bummed that their ride was coming sooner then they’d expected. They’d been planning on waiting for the rest of their band members to arrive and being able to catch the game while they waited. But they grabbed their bags and went to the curb to wait, not yet knowing how good it was their plans had changed.
As the girls pulled up beside the men on the curb, Catie noticed Jamie and and Rich exchanged a look, and then, ever so slowly, Jamie pulled down his sunglasses as if to say game on. At least that’s how she interrupted it. Little did Catie know, that’s exactly what he was thinking. The boys were used to being picked up by youth pastors and their little kids in mini vans, not two pretty california girls in an SUV. That unexpected surprise was a very good thing indeed.
As they drove to the hotel, Rich became Jamie’s wingman, helping to get the girls to laugh. And because the girls had the same name, Jamie naturally nicknamed them number one and number two. Naturally.
As they drove around the city trying to find an In-and-out, Jamie started to notice that number two had an incredible laugh and a beautiful twinkle in her eye. She was sassy too. Just his kind of girl…
….that night at their show Jamie searched the crowd for Catie. Wondering if she had made it. And then, he spotted her. Laughing. And dancing to every song. To say he was smitten would be an understatement. So, as the night came to a close, and Jamie had gathered his courage, he approached the pretty California girl and handed her his phone. When she looked up at him, he simply said “your number goes here.”
And just like that, their love story started…
…the rest they say, is history.
On the fifth of June in the late afternoon they were wed in a beautiful little backyard wedding, surrounded by an intimate gathering of friends and family. And as Catie walked down the aisle to her groom, feathers floated into the air and danced in the wind. The tall pine trees looked on with majestic eyes, never taking their eye’s off the couple, for even though they had seen much in their long lives, nothing compared to the love they witnessed that day…
Catie and Jamie,
I am so glad you found your soul mates in each other, and Jamie I am so glad you are part of our family now.
Here’s to empty highways and a life full of adventure with your love riding shot gun.
Enjoy. the. ride.

{Sorry couldn’t help the puns! }

Jamie is now a band member in the group seventh Day Slumber, and they tour all over the country in this big old bus… So, of course, we had to include the bus in our photos!
