Abi Q photography bio picture

Welcome to my blog, my life, my story.. .

My name is Abigail, {Abi for short} and I'm married to the love of my life and best friend. We currently live in Los Angeles, CA... but {since we both were born with a bit of gypsy in us} we're itching to move very, very soon { never fear, we won't be moving tooo far away..} ;)

...I shoot weddings near and far. I'm a lover of travel and long to discover new places... this year, I have weddings in Hawaii, San Francisco, Seattle, Ohio, Atlanta, Oregon, Colorado and North Carolina, to name a few. I so can't wait to take the husband-man and make a adventure out of it...

... this blog is ramblings from my life..adventures, non-adventures, pictures and pretty things that make me, me. this is my life... welcome and enjoy!

Johnny & Xin : Wedding

They were married in San Francisco, right in the heart of the city. Because of their love of pictures and capturing memories, they reserved hours for us to go shoot before the reception… and oh the fun we had! We gallivanted through a beautiful art museum that had lovely columns and was very grecian … and then we went on to explore the Japanese tea gardens that are part of golden gate park

{…and while I had millions of beauties to choose from, I am so so far behind on posting, that these must be all I post. at least for right now.}

…did I mention today how much I love my couples? {well, I do. and they are fabulous.}

Part two of our adventure

..I got home from Africa on Wednesday super jet lagged and while I wanted to blog very badly I was to to tired to even try…not long after being home I came down with strep throat and have been trying to recuperate ever since.
I want to blog!
I want to share pictures!
I want to catch up on editing!

But, alas, my eyes are swollen and my head aches and I feel like ….poop.

So for today, I will share random observations and notes: {and hopefully post more very soon!}

1.) Our layover was in Dubai and wow. Dubai was gorgous! I wish we could of had more time to explore the city better…

2.) Emirites airlines treats you like royalty! Hot towels before takeoff? Ummmm yes please!

3.) I didn’t expect Uganda to be so tropical.. but it is. Lush and green and gorgeous! Kinda like a rain forest. Without the snakes. Holl-a.

4.) My 5d that I brought with me broke within the first five minutes of using it the first day. Yea. Annoyed to say the least… so point and shoot pictures will have to do! { and I will be stealing some from my sisters blog as well to share! }

5.) I found at least five babies at the babies home I could take home with me.

second.
I don’t know how they don’t have mommies and daddies fighting over them all. They are too, too sweet and if I could, I would bring them all home with me, tomorrow.

6.) Ice is amazing. In Africa, you can’t drink the water and most of the time sodas are warm… so since we’ve been back everything I’ve drank has had ice. just because i can.

7.) My dad has “adopted” several of the young men who work with African hearts. And I love my brothers!

8.) Me or Ry or both of us hope to go back to Africa very, very soon.

9.) I got to meet Katie! If you don’t who this amazing girl is go check her out. like now.

10.) We nearly finished a kitchen, dining room & guest room for African hearts! {a program that takes boys off the street} Yey!

11.) ..and out of everything….Sanu babies home was my favorite place in Uganda and I could of spent every waking hour there…

and last but not least.. I will leave you with one of the few pictures I got…. On the left is a before picture of one of the boys when he was living in the slums and sleeping on the streets. The picture on the right is the same boy, a few months later after being taken in by African hearts. Amazing the difference, isn’t it??

more soon!

xoxo
