{{Side note:::::::::: If you’ve been following my blog for awhile now, you know the love story of Joel and Emily. {and also that Joel happens to be my little brother in law}… so it goes without saying that this wedding was dear to my heart because it was for people who are extremely dear to me… }}
In early August two of my favorite people committed to spend the rest of their lives together, for better or worse. As it was nearing dusk in the backyard, the lanterns were lit and the blushing bride made her way down the aisle toward her husband to be. They said vows of old surrounded by a forest of pine tree’s as family and friends looked on. Between tears, Joel and Emily vowed to love each other forever…
…One thing I particularly adored about Joel and Emily’s wedding was they had people who had invested and poured into their lives {prayer,time, love, ect} light candles along the back of the stage as a way of honoring them. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and friends all lit the candles, and in the end Joel and Emily lit their unity candle and placed it in the center of the other flickering candles…. providing a stunning visual of them being surrounded by all those that love them, and the witness we bared to their union….
Joel and Emily,
May you love each other until your old and grey and have millions of wrinkles. I love you both immensely and can’t wait to see you grow old together!!
xoxo
