San Ignacio + Ambergris Caye, Belize

Husband man and I went on a little birthday trip with our good friends D + E
to celebrate husband and D turning 30 this year.
The first two days we stayed in the jungle near San Ignacio in the most darling little cabin
and the second part of the trip we took a water taxi to Ambergris Caye and lounged on the little island.
It was a lovely trip.
We spent hours laying in hammocks, and took afternoon naps during the  most delirious of rainstorms.
We went jungle hiking, and climbed old mayan ruins from civilizations hundreds and hundreds of years old.
We saw monkeys and wandered islands, holding hands like newlyweds.
On our second to last day we went swimming with sharks.
The seafood was fabulous and always fresh and the amazingly yummy Belize rum filled our glasses most moments of the day…
We documented it all using only our iphones and the ever so fabulous VSCO cam.
Hope you enjoy our adventures as much as we enjoyed making them.

Natalia G. - love these pictures! my dad lived here his whole teenage years, living in El Salvador prior to Belize. I haven’t been to Belize since I was five. almost ten years ago. but this year were having the G family reunion there. I’m so excited! also, I adore the picture of the sign that says “don’t flush the paper in the toilet.” it’s the same way in El Salvador wherever you go. brings back memories ;) thanks for sharing! xx | Natalia.
